57 years old, one of Scotland’s most accomplished and
experienced advertising creatives, Nick has worked in the
business for over 35 years as a Copywriter, Creative Group
Head, Creative Director and in his present freelance/consultant
capacity. His agency experience covers 6 years at DMB&B
London, 5 years at Hall Advertising in Edinburgh, and shorter
spells in a number of agencies in Edinburgh, Glasgow,
Manchester and London.
Accounts worked on are too numerous to mention but include
Sony, Bosch, Lee Jeans, Scottish & Newcastle and Tennent
Caledonian. Since leaving the agency side some 20 years ago,
he has worked on an ad-hoc basis with most of Scotland’s top
advertising and design agencies including, of course, 60 Watt.
It is some testimony to Nick’s versatility and consistency
that he has won no fewer than 40 national and international
creative awards, spread across 10 different agencies and
18 clients.
These include Creative Circle, Campaign Poster, Clio, New
York Festival, Roses, National Radio, IPA Effectiveness and
Scottish Advertising Awards, covering TV, Radio, Press,
Poster, Outdoor and Direct advertising.
